I have a very large dryer and was looking for larger dryer balls. Most of the listings that say XL are only about 3″ and these are the size of tennis balls. Great to get all my dog’s shedding off my sheets, etc!

A holistic non-scent way to soften clothes in the dryer
I buy these for myself and my neighbors every six months and have a spare set on hand. They have a gentle way of softening and helping my clothes dry virtually wrinkle free. If I get them out of the dryer right away. It’s a soft thumping sound that tumbles gently with the clothes. They sometimes grab lint off the clothes in the process. I have a spare set for when I wash my dog’s towels and that helps with excess fur and doggie smell. I’ve used them for over 10 years now and wouldn’t think of using anything else. Your sinuses and mine will thank you!

good for dryer as well as environment
I’ve been using them so over three years, replaced them I think two times. At first I used three and especially with towels they didn’t really cut it so I decided to use 6 with heavy loads. The result was very satisfying and I have no static, but don’t notice softness.When I got my dryer cleaned the technician commented on how much better using them was over sheets that so many use that coat the inside of the dryer.I hope this is helpful for all those totally disappointed in the product but perhaps you shouldn’t try to use only one at a time most especially with full loads.

A good start to going organic in the laundry room
I’ve been using wool dryer balls like these in my dryer for a couple of years now, and find that they do a decent job of helping to prevent static and some wrinkles in my clothes. They do wear out after a time, though, and start to pill and split so need to be replaced occasionally. This little bag contains 6 good sized wool balls, (in a cute little reusable fabric bag, I might add), for a much better price than buying them in the local stores. So far they are lasting quite well – I’ve had them about 9 months and they’re still firmly packed. For those of you who have never tried wool balls in your dryer, be aware that they do help with static, and somewhat with wrinkles, but clothing must be removed promptly when done – since they do not add any artificial surfactants to your laundry like dryer sheets do, your clothes may pick up wrinkles if left sitting in the dryer. Then again, you’re introducing less possibly troublesome ingredients to what you wear and use in your home!

These wool balls work great and are a must if you’re trying to step away from the mainstream toxic dryer sheets.
