They do work
I live in South Carolina and lost power and internet. Ran a generator and had it in garage with a couple in garage and 1 in house. 1 one in garage was in front of open garage door and did go off. I put 2 fans on back side of garage and opened door enough so no one could grab generator and put 2 huge fans pushing air out. They worked great. Finally got fans in right position they didn’t go off. The one in house didn’t go off in house. It did go off in garage originally and that’s why I put it in house. I knew it worked.

works as expected to @ a GREAT $$! Blew out a match underneath it & it went off as sound as I saw the smoke enter the grates. I also tried it under our vehicle’s exhaust. Same speedy reaction. Cheaper & easier than the 9 volt battery powered models.

If you want a quality product without the high cost, this is a perfect item
Very well made product quality for the price. I like how it’s a c 02 and a smoke detector and all in one. So far, it has worked very well real part.Don’t see any issues with it. Easy to install, it took less than three minutes. I tested it by cooking and putting some heat under it. And seeing how it works is very loud works very well. I would recommend this product. You cannot beat the product for the cost. Especially the functionality of the product.

ZERO STARS
With gas fireplaces myself and my toy poodles life mat depend on a GOOD WORKING DERTECTOR. I read the reviews before ordering some good some not so good. I loaded the batteries in both and hit test button and away it went to beeping. Next test fireplace so I placed both on edge of fireplace turned gas on until I heard the hissing waited a few seconds and NOTHING turned gas off. I’m still smelling it a bit now since turning it off. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE DETECTORS IF i COULD GIVE THE ZERO STARS THEY’D HAVE ZERO.EDIT 12/10/25: I will leave the batteries in and test them again tomorrow if still not beeping from Natural Gas I will RETURN ASAP.EDIT 12/11/25: The seller claims and I Googled it to verify these smoke/CO detectors will not detect leaking gas??? Unreal isn’t it!Ok these will be returned ASAP I tested both while engine running 6 inches from exhaust and neither one let out a beep not a sound. My life is worth more NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
