Works like a charm but….
This bark deterrent works great. The noise is barely perceptible to the human ear but instantly gets my dog’s attention and the barking immediately stops. The only downside is that my cats are also extremely sensitive to it. It terrifies them and sends them scattering, which makes me feel pretty horrible. Because of this I’m hesitant to use it.

The OKSJ Dog Bark Deterrent Device is a super effective and humane alternative to training your dogs and keeping excessive barking to a minimum. I have two dogs who are generally well-behaved at home but the moment they hear someone walking outside or other dogs in the neighborhood barking, they go crazy. Taking them on walks can also be difficult because of all the other dogs in the neighborhood they want to interact with.This device has helped me capture their attention and get them to stop their barking much more quickly. There are options for several high pitch frequencies- I just needed to play around with it a bit to figure out which sound my dogs would be most responsive to. This device has a flashing light on one end and a super bright flashlight on the other which is perfect for night time walks. I’ve had it for about a week now and so far, the battery says it’s still full so I imagine the internal battery lasts quite a while. It can be plugged in any time to recharge.Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone who is tired of their dog’s out of control barking or who just wants to go on walks or answer the door without their dogs going crazy.

Simple Safe and Effective – Immediate Results
I have tried several barking solutions, and the OKSJ deterrent is the first one that really made a difference. Gentle and Effective Training Tool for Vocal Pups
I have a very vocal puppy, and honestly, I love that about her. I wasn’t looking for something to stop her from barking completely, I just needed a way to redirect her when the barking gets excessive or inappropriate, like when someone rings the bell, another dog is being walked outside or the neighbor mows their lawn. I didn’t want to use a bark collar or anything that would discourage her from making noise at all, for that reason this training device has been perfect. It gets her attention quickly and gently, and gives me the opportunity to guide her toward better behavior without shutting down her personality.There are four different settings on the device, but I’ve found that the first and lowest one is usually enough to get her attention. I rarely need to go beyond that, though I can see how the higher modes might be useful for other dogs who are more stubborn or easily distracted. It works really well outside too, which is a big plus for us since that’s when her barking tends to spike. And I didn’t think I’d care much about the flashlight, but it’s actually super handy during late night potty breaks in the back yard.If you’re looking for a training tool that helps with behavior without punishing your dog for being a dog, this is a great option. It’s easy to use, feels solid in your hand, and the usb-c rechargeable battery means you don’t have to mess with replacing batteries all the time. This has definitely earned a permanent spot in our training tool box.

Not effective for dog, annoys the rest of the house
Makes an annoying and audible noise that bugs the heck out of my family and doesn’t seem to do much to curb my dog’s whining.Got this to replace another model that looked very similar but emitted a sound in a frequency we couldn’t hear but got my dog’s attention FAST. When that one went missing (we suspect my dog is the culprit…making it disappear because it worked so effectively at driving him to silence) we hoped this would be the same, but sadly it annoyed us more than the pup.
