I have purchased three of these dog beds. I was very satisfied with the first two. High quality and you can purchase a new cover when the dog trashes the old one.I just purchased the same exact dog bed. This is my third one. I just a few months the quality has dropped from excellent to a load of **** that I am returning. The other dog beds are regular foam with a nice layer of memory foam glued to the top. Dogs sink right in and love it.The newest one is standard egg crate crap which I can get for half the price at the local pet store. No memory foam. And it is 1/2 inch thinner than before. The bolster that goes around the sides is 1/3 the size (circumstances) of the previous beds. Barely enough for a medium sized dog to lay against.I am sick and tired of the corporate shrinkage in our products. You think you can cut back on quality/quantity and charge the same… Or more… And no one will notice. From corn flakes to dog beds… Let’s see what we can sneak by customers.I hope you saved a lot of money Furhaven because you lost this customer. We have 6 of your beds… Indoor and out… In two homes. This past one is going back. And it will be the last one I buy.I don’t mind paying a little more and getting a quality product that lasts. On the other hand, I hate being treated like I’m an idiot. You knkw what they say… A happy customer tells a couple PEOPLE about their experience. An unhappy customer tells EVERYONE.

Cheap, messy & wont last long.
I bought 2 of these large ones for my two dogs & while they seemed to like it, the cushioning wasn’t great & the materials inside looked like the had been pulled from a scrap yard. These things make a terrible mess when you take them off or try to put them back on. Even after several washes & taking it out of the dryer, it would still expel tons of this disintegrating white material all over the place. The zipper handles ( all 4 of them, 2 on each) all broke off within 2 months, making it even harder to take on & off. The outer material is so thin, that the inner cushions get dirty & covered in hair with no way to clean it. The worst part is that after 4 months & approximately 4 wash cycles, both of these had several huge holes in the material where the dogs would rest. Even more offending is to replace this incredibly flimsy, cheap cover costs 1/2 as much as rebuying the whole bed, meaning owning these beds would be like a yearly subscription to replace the covers 3 times a year X 2 beds @ $210 a year. Utterly ridiculous. I just bought another bed for slightly more, thats twice as large, with almost twice the cushioning, with plastic covering on the inside & thick softer outer layer. Look around & avoid these beds, as they are at a premium price but not quality

Buyer beware on this dog bed.
Buyer beware. This product is a reminder of why buyers should make this sort of purchase in person rather than online. The only reason I am not returning this product is because I had to cut the entire box apart just to get the dog bed out of the box. The fabrics are low quality and the cover is far larger than the foam insert, as though a large rectangle of foam was not shipped with it. I do not envision this item surviving multiple washings and dog use. The package arrived with the Amazon shipping carton essentially in tact, but the manufacturer’s box had a large hole and tears. The foam was so tightly packed, there was no way to get it out of the box without cutting the box all the way down one side.

Don’t believe the hype.
I think this company got the WireCutter review then immediately switched to cheap materials to maximize profit. The foam pad was simply 2 layers of the same density open cell foam. I work in the soft good industry and there is no “Memory” foam here. It’s just cheap open cell. Secondly, the perimeter pillow was about 1″ thick and stuffed with what looked like waste foam from something else. Literally chopped bits of random flattened foam, did not expand at all or anything.You’re much better off with something else. Don’t listen to the Wirecutter hype.I also contacted the company about it and they were less than helpful.

Used: Beware of broken zippers upon arrival.
They are NOT chew proof. The softness, well, we didn’t get to find out long enough. First day they arrived. We opened it. No smell. We set them out for our 8yr old chihuahua and our 3yr chihuahua. We noticed the zippers didn’t work. Zippers would not stay zipped and then they didn’t zip at all. So the pillows came out. I don’t know how they hid the zippers being broken, but they did. I did buy them used. But it didn’t say they were broken. Well, anyhow, they did arrive this way, and we took notice. It was so late at night. We didn’t do anything about it. The trouble of sending them both back, defective, is too much hassle. I’m just throwing them way, if I can’t sew the zippers closed and keep the pillows in. I can’t and don’t want to know, what the dogs would do if they were aggressive chewers.I can’t recommend. Because it wasn’t just one pillow. They both had inaccurate descriptions. It was both dog cushions, even though used.So, Do not purchase.I won’t be purchasing again.

Zipper broke… waste of money
My dog broke the zipper way too easily, and the foam was exposed and subsequently chewed. She hasn’t ripped any other beds. Disappointed about the wasted money.

Product arrived without the foam for the bolsters. Company wouldn’t send it separately so I had to buy foam and make it work on my own. I washed it ONE time and the zipper completely broke making the product useless. My dog likes the bed, but the amount of time and stress I’ve had to put into making it work is laughable. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is exactly what we needed for our 14 year old fur baby. Sides are sturdy, great size and the foam is perfect for his arthritis.. Machine washable makes it even better.

Ordered the Jumbo and arrived in this MASSIVE 2′ by 5′ plain brown box with the bed rolled up inside and held together with some wrapping that only half covered the bed. Exposed sides of the bed were dusty / dirty. I was going to try to exchange it for an actual new one, but my dog absolutely loved the bed and rolled all over it so I decided to keep it. After cleaning the dirty parts, it looks ok. Overall structure of the bed looks good. The sides are puffy and the bottom is soft, but supportive. The jumbo size is excessive for my 100lb PittyMix, but he’s definitely comfortable.

Bought this bed in February and our dogs loved it. Washed cover in May and it ripped at seem. Very poor quality for what I paid for and too late to return.
