Jade Yoga
Jade makes the world’s most sustainable, best performing yoga products and gives back to the earth with every product sold

How did we get our start?
Jade began after learning that yoga mats on the market were slippery and made with PVC, a toxic chemical. So we developed the first natural rubber yoga mat.
What makes our products unique?
Jade mats are made in the U.S. with natural rubber, tapped from rubber trees in Vietnam. Not only are Jade mats non-toxic, but they also provide more grip and comfort than any other mat on the market.
Why do we love what we do?
With your help, we have planted over 2 million trees and preserved almost 3,000 acres of rainforest!

Amazing mat. Awesome grip. Color true to picture with description.
I am in love with my new mat! Service was speedy, and my mat is everything I expected it to be! The color is true to the picture shown (I bought the raspberry colored mat) which I was concerned about at first. It’s amazing! There is definitely a smell to it so it will need some airing out, but that is expected.UPDATE :This mat is still everything I dreamed it would be! I figured now that I have practiced on it I would give it some pros and cons.PROS:The grip is phenomenal! This mat has definitely allowed me to take my head and handstands to a new level. The 68″ length is perfect for my 5’5″ frame. My head and feet do not touch the floor when I am stretched out for savasana. The cushion on the mat is pretty minimal, and perfect for balance poses. It is not too hard on my knees either because of the slight spring it provides since it is rubber. The mat rolls out nicely for each practice and I don’t have to roll it under like my old cheap walmart mat just to make it lay flat. So far there is no wear on the mat, and I bought my mat about 5 months ago (I practice vinyasa and hatha yoga for an hour each practice 4-5 days a week).CONS:The grip on the mat is definitely something to get used to. Starting out, I had to completely rethink how to move my feet from warrior one to warrior two. What was once a simple sliding movement turned into lifting and placing of my foot. I have figured out how to get back to the sliding movement I did before, but it was definitely a transition. Also, because of the good grip, anything and everything likes to stick to this mat. Lint, hair, whatever is on the floor of your studio, your mat now has. So lint rollers are definitely nice to have on occasion. And lastly, the smell! I was warned ahead of time that the mat would smell like a goodyear tire, but I didn’t realize how long it would last (it does fade a lot though!). Even after 5 months of use it still has a faint rubber smell. I am probably at fault for it still smelling like that though, because I keep it in a bag all the time. So word of advice: when you get it, wash it and let it air out unrolled for a few weeks if you really want the smell gone for good. I’m talking about even after each practice, let it air out! A spritz of essential oils mixed with water is also a good idea.

The best mat I ever had!
I started out borrowing my teacher’s mats which were generic spongy things probably from yogadirect.com. Not realizing there was a difference in mat quality when I went to buy my first mat I bought something that LOOKED exactly like my teacher’s mats and was very slippery slidey. I never could get into downdog without feeling frustrated. Somewhere along the line someone told me about rinsing a new mat to get the slick stuff off of it. That didn’t work. I was half way through yoga teacher training when I knew I needed a better mat.Viola! Enter the Jade Harmony professional mat! At 3/16th of an inch it is a little thicker than the super cheap mats in discount stores. It is the same thickness as your average $20 mat, but feels so much more dense. You won’t need that extra padding for your knees with this mat. It is also wonderfully tacky for downward facing dog, forearm balance or arm balances. I love love love this mat. Whenever I let a student borrow it they are equally impressed. Even if you are just starting out in yoga, a good mat, good gear in general, will help you. If you have time to wait sometimes this mat goes on sale: I found mine for $40.I have tried a hundred dollar mat by lululemon which was awesome. For the price though, this one is a better value: Jade sells it consistently in the $60 range. IF you do yoga daily, you’ll wear through a $20 mat once or twice a year, and never be as satisfied as buying this one, once. Plus, consider the money you will save by NOT having to buy a blanket or towel for padding. Some reviewers complained about the smell. That never bothered me. It’s the smell of natural rubber. It will smell more if the mat gets hot, so don’t leave it in the car. And you probably wouldn’t like it for Hot Yoga/Bikram style. The bigger thing to be aware of is the latex. IF you are allergic to latex this is NOT the mat for you.I’m 5’4″ and I am quite content with the shorter length mat. If you are over 6 feet I suggest the 74″ length.

This is a heavy duty yoga mat , good for hands that slip on all other mats, even the non- slip ones. And the colors are beautiful. They are great quality and last forever. This is my second one only because my ex-boyfriend’s cat loved my old Jade mat almost more than I did. But it was an excuse to get a new color anyway.
