Takes AAA batteries!
These are great little smoke alarms! The one in 2 of our bedrooms failed, and quit working, so I wanted to replace them with something that would be practical and not costly. What I like about these, is that they use AAA batteries, which are less expensive than other types, and also I usually have some at home, so I’m less likely to run out. You have to buy the batteries separately. I like that these are smaller alarms, but they seem to work well. Time will tell if they last! One thing I didn’t like was the mounting with the screws, so maybe find another way to mount them, because that doesn’t work well.

Quick install and easy to test, function well
These optical smoke detectors are small and look better than your typical round shape alarms. They react to steam and smoke or even a lot of dust. To me it’s seems more of a fine particulate alarm. You two in a pack which is great and you need to do is pull the strip to connect the battery.

Small smoke alarm
These two fire alarms work well. They take AAA batteries which is nice because I always stock up on those and don’t regularly have 9V batteries at my house. These do have a red blinking light to signal power. They do not come with batteries but come with wall mounting screws. The sound is loud and the test button works. The sound is different than my other smoke alarms but would still wake me from sleep if they were going off. These are smaller than other fire alarms which I like. I have yet to install them, but I have placed on top of my fridge and in my hallway outside of our bedrooms so that they can easily be heard everywhere in the house.

Better than the smoke alarm it replaced.
I like this Chagasort Optical Smoke Alarm much better than the original smoke alarm that came mounted in my motorhome. The Chagasort alarm seems better able to ignore cooking fumes, and it uses inexpensive AAA batteries instead of the pricey 9v battery of my original unit. The best part? A week-long camping trip in a somewhat cramped RV with no false smoke alarms. Recommended.
