Installation

Peace of Mind
So far so good. I’m glad I purchased these. I have peace of mind both upstairs and downstairs. I’m glad these came in a pack of two. These were a great price for combo Smoke/CO detectors. The units are not too big and blend into the wall nicely, even with our grey walls. The units are good quality and look good. I like the feature that I don’t have think about changing out batteries all the time. The batteries inside are meant to last 10 years. Moreover, the units blink regularly to show the power is working and I can manually test the units too. The alarms are very loud, so no one should sleep through them. I installed the alarms without any issues and they come with everything I need for installation. Instead of using the screws to mount the units, I used command strips because I did not want to put holes in my walls.

Good, but mounting plate may not be big enough
Easy install and seem to all be working well. Only issue I have is if you are replacing a wired Fire/CO unit with these battery operated units the mounting plates included are not big enough to cover the electrical wire box completely and the mounting screw holes aren’t wide enough on the mounting plate to align with standard electrical box housing units.

Easy to set up, great digital display, non-intrusive, and so convenient to place anywhere in the house. I like that it isn’t dependent on the housing electric to continue working, as well as the combo carbon monoxide and smoke detector feature.
