Just What I Was Looking For
I bought the blue one. Sturdy and flexible. Easy to clean. Fits in my medium Basis stainless steel dog bowl adequately. There is some play in his bowl, so if I push down the suction cups on the bottom stick more and it will tighten the gaps between the ridges so he has to work a little harder. Sometimes that happens by him pushing down to get the food. I do release it so he can fully get everything. This is due to the fit in his bowl. I have also found it sticking to my baseboard heat if he manages to get it out so he can lick the bottom…lol. It can be chewed if your dog is a chewer, so I suggest keeping an eye. My dog practically inhales his food and needed slowing down. I think he likes trying to get every last bite from the little valleys. I feed rehydrated food that is wet and then rinse/soak in hot soapy water for easy clean up. I would recommend.

This slow feeder worked exactly the way I hoped it would.
The silicone is sturdy and flexible and it has a good weight to it so it doesn’t slide around while my dog eats. The suction cups actually stick well too which is great if you have a dog that likes to shove their bowl all over the place.It fits nicely over a standard bowl and is easy to press into place. It definitely slows down eating without stressing the dog out and it works with both wet and dry food. Cleanup is super simple since it rinses off easily and can go in the dishwasher.The color is cute, the design makes sense, and it feels like a solid quality product. My dog adjusted to it right away and mealtime has been much calmer. I’m really happy with it.

My husky needs all interference possible with her food, and this does a really good job. The silicone is soft enough that she can’t hurt herself, but firm enough to make her work for it, and a really lovely color. The graduated depth of the barriers provides another level of engagement, it has roughly tripled her feeding time, and cleaning it is as easy as throwing it in the dishwasher!

Does the Job
Our pup inhales her food, rarely chews, so I was looking for something to challenge and slow her down. I ordered this product with high hopes of achieving that exact goal.The silicone feeder fit perfectly in her Yeti bowl, lots of small suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place. The grooves are wide enough to receive her kibble and frozen bites, deep enough to make her work for her food a little. They are also easy to clean. The silicone is thick and of good quality. It does what it is designed to do, and, at just over $10, it’s a great value.If something happened to this, I would replace it without hesitation.

Great little enrichment tool!
This is a great little tool for getting a dog to slow down when eating, or to use as a forage-type feeder or licky-mat to keep them occupied for a bit and offer some enrichment. The suction cups make this really versatile- you can stick it into a dog dish or, for example, smear peanut butter on it and suction it to the shower wall so your dog has a distraction at bath time. It really is a clever idea to add the suction cups here- but I will say that it won’t work with really liquidy foods, they will just seep under it and make a mess. Great for kibble and more solid foods though, canned food would even be great! It will definitely slow down the pace of a fast eater. The size makes it a good fit for a smaller dog for meals, but it would work for any size dog for enrichment purposes.

Effective but new challenge uncovered!
Product is great, suction works well! My only concern isn’t with the product but as an FYI for other pet parents – now my pup can use the insert to pick up his dog bowl out of the stand and carry it across the room! So if your dog might be a food transporter – fair warning!

Excellent, deep, and durable slow feeder.
Excellent slow feeder – as long as you have the right sized bowl (and conveniently, they spell that out for you).I’ll be honest, I didn’t measure mine, so I didn’t have the right sized bowl, but I acquired one (I needed it anyway) and tested with it.I can report that this is DEFINITELY a good fit, with good suction as long as the bowl bottom is smooth. (I’ve seen these not work well on bowls with textures.) The multiple suction cups are a much better way of affixing than the “one big suction cup” that some of these inserts use.The silicone itself is nice and dense, will stand up to some abuse from teeth and (if you’re dog is a jerk like mine can be) paws. With a heavy enough bowl, you shouldn’t have much trouble with slipping or flipping. The “flanges” are actually pretty tall, so your dog will have to do some work to get down into the “trenches” and reach the food.We’ve used with both wet and dry food and found both to work well.The silicone is also nice for cleaning – no residue even with simple hand-washing. We did run it in a dishwasher load also, and saw no signs of melting or other issues.Overall, this is a fantastic slow-feeding insert if you have the right sized bowl.

Great concept
I have a medium sized dog that inhales food which leads to vomiting if not monitored. This feeder works well to slow her down. However, I had to buy a new doggie bowl as it didn’t fit into her 8” bowl because it sloped down to less than 6” on the bottom. There are fairly strong suction cups to keep it adhered to the bottom which is good because our pup tried to grab it with her teeth and pull it out of the bowl to get at the food. It is very sturdy and easy to wash.
