Whenever I am traveling out of the country, I make sure to pack this carbon monoxide detector alarm, the small size is convenient to carry in your personal luggage or your checked bags.If you are vacationing at a rental or even hotel internationally, be sure to pack this alarm. It’s surprising to see the amount of vacation spots that does not include a carbon monoxide detector in their property. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so keep this handy when traveling.

I took this carbon monoxide detector with us on our recent trip to Korea and Japan. It so small it’s very convenient for travel. It does have a light that flashes intermittently, but we just set it in the bathroom at night.

OK for my temporary use
I bought this to monitor exhaust that I suspected might leak into an old car that I needed to drive a few hundred miles to a new location. It worked as intended (no alarms anyway) but I would never depend on such a cheap monitor to protect me and my family in a dwelling.

A must have when traveling!
We bought these to use on our European vacation and loved it was battery powered due to the different plugs compared to the USA ones. Slept easier knowing the alarm would awake us incase of high levels of carbon monoxide. Easy to use, worth the money, and you can’t put a price on safety.

Bring it Along for Peace of Mind While Traveling
Looks and works “great,” at first blush, and is a perfect size for bringing along when traveling. Battery cover is wedged in very “snugly” in place. You’ll need a sturdy, thin tool to put into one of the two screw holes and firmly coax it to slide open. I also recommend using long-lasting lithium AAA batteries. I tested this carbon monoxide detector by holding it near our car exhaust and it worked perfectly. Other, disappointed reviewers tried to measure the CO output from a HVAC exhaust, which does not consistently emit carbon monoxide. One of the other of this product’s “bashers” had me laughing at his silliness, when he wrote that this detector couldn’t get him a reading of CO2 (carbon dioxide) levels. I cannot vouch for this CO detector’s durability, long-term, but I’m currently quite satisfied with this purchase.

I installed the Carbon Monoxide Detector Alarm with a digital display recently, and it’s been pretty okay. It does the job of alerting me when CO levels are up, and the display is clear enough to read. The alarm is loud, which is good for safety, but sometimes it feels like it’s a bit too sensitive. Overall, it’s a standard device—adequate if you need basic protection, but nothing really stands out about it.
