Security for travelers
I use this for travel. Keep it in my hotel room. Safety is important. Was recommended by a friend who travels for a living. Why take chances. And it does work. I tested it and functions perfectly giving read out of CO content. Very loud! If you travel especially to foreign countries this is a must travel accessory

Worked immediately upon testing
Update: I recently brought this on my trip to Alaska and forgot that I can’t bring alkaline batteries on the plane. So I had to buy them once I got to Anchorage and they were super expensive there. So now I’m regretting not buying the plug in style of carbon monoxide detector. Just keep that in mind. Although it was cheaper up front, it’ll cost you in the long run in batteries.Original review: I purchased this device ahead of a 2 week long trip to Alaska staying in a dozen different VRBO and hotels. I wasn’t sure if it would give me peace of mind as I wondered if it even would detect. However, after bringing it into my garage where I held it for a second near my cars exhaust, and the thing went off! I’m so impressed with its sensitivity and usefulness when it comes to traveling. I want my family to remain safe and there are too many rentals without CO2 detectors or have ones that I’m not sure if they function or not. Keeping this in my luggage for all of my future trips as well!!

Great for travel
After hearing of people dying of carbon monoxide poisoning while staying in resort cottages I decided to get one for travel. It’s compact and lightweight. I keep it on a bookcase right outside my bedroom door when not traveling as extra protection in addition to the carbon monoxide detectors we already had.

Good for vacation
Bought this for a European vacation where I’d be staying in AirBnbs with no CO detectors. It worked well! Handy that it runs on batteries. I just took them out each day when we left the apartment to preserve battery life.

Great, Easy Buy
So far this has been perfect for our basement. We did have to buy wall sticker mounts for it because it only comes with hardware to drill into the wall. But easy to install if you use wall mounts instead of the provided hardware.
