Easy added storage
The product itself is good. Mine was delivered a little damaged. Good for the price and it will get the job done. Took about 5 minutes to assemble. I needed a little extra storage for some more shoes.

After searching and searching for options for shoe storage, I finally opted for the ClosetMaid shelves. I bought two of the 31 inch selves and stacked them on the floor of my small closet. This was the best storage I have found for shoes after years and years of buying different shoe racks and being disappointed with shoes falling off, not fitting, or the cheap racks (which cost more than the shelves) folding up on me. These are sturdy, simple lines and held way more shoes that the previous rack(s). Because they are not as confined, I can cram in more of the off season shoes I rarely wear and still see them clearly, yet I have ample room for the quality shoes and shoe boxes to keep my better shoes easy to access without getting all messed up. The shelves abut to the back of the closet, so I don’t have the problem of shoes falling off the back.I was so pleased with the result that I ran to a local discount store to get the same shelves for my boyfriends shoes. I wanted to surprise him when he got home, so I didn’t take the time to order from Amazon. FYI, Amazon had the better price and I got the free shipping with Prime. He wears size 11 and his shoes fit nicely on the shelves. He was very pleased when he saw how neat the closet looked and how much easier it is for him to get his shoes off these racks without everything else falling off as well.I waited a number of months before posting this review to make sure I was still pleased with the shelves. We both are still very very happy with them and our closet is so much neater. I really like ClosetMaid products. These shelves are very durable and should last us until we no longer need shoes.

Has held up well over the past 2 years
I’ve been storing shoes and other miscellaneous items on these for two years now, and there’s been no issues. Easy to build, holds enough weight for plenty of shoes and other items, looks nice, nothing to complain about.

Nothing Went Right. At All.
I ordered this shelving unit to provide additional storage for my shoes. I already own the exact same unit and it works like a dream. I measured beforehand to be sure I ordered the right one, it’s the same brand, same color, everything.It was delayed in transit. Things happen, but it wound up being a week late.Once it arrived, I was eager to get it assembled and put it to use. One of the long boards that acts as a shelf came with no predrilled holes… at all. I had to get a drill bit, drill my own holes, and hope for the best.Even after drilling my own holes, the screws completely split the board… in all four attachment spots.So ultimately, I got the top shelf and sides put together, but the second shelf was broken and warped and just sort of sitting on top of the screws after they split through the board itself.Whatever, I decide to still give it a shot… and it’s not the dimensions it said it was. It didn’t fit.It was a huuuge struggle to get it into place, and I ended up having to use a rubber mallet to get it even CLOSE to being in the right spot because, as I said, it doesn’t fit, despite having more than a 1/4″ of clearance on each side per the measurements I took.All in all, a horrible experience, an ugly, broken final product. I’m glad it’s shoved into a closet where I don’t have to look at it. Do not recommend.

It’s durable, does the job of storing shoes.Can tightly fit 3 pairs of shoes on each shelf, or 2 pairs if you want comfortable space between each pair.Pros:- Easy to install.- Heavy/strong boards, very durable overall.- Simple, clean look, exactly as shown in photos.- Great price/value.Cons:- Vertical space of the shelf is fairly small. If you have heels, boots, or “tall” sneakers, you can only place it ontop of the rack.

Very nice presentation. Sturdy and easy to assemble. I stacked up two of these vertically, and removed the middle shelf from one, and then attached the two with a plywood in the back for support, and wa la, it has turned into a bookcase with room in the middle rack (with one shelf removed) for larger/ taller items like a record player. and a decoration piece. Something like this is priced at around $152 even at Amazon. With these two attached, I got the entire bookcase for only $26+26+ tax. Highly recommend it for its quality.
