Each convenient and easy to apply, single dose tube kills fleas, deer ticks, flea eggs, flea larvae and prevents re-infestation, stopping the flea life cycle in its tracks. Also repels mosquitos. The proprietary Pro-cision Flo applicator easily penetrates short and long fur for on-skin application, directly onto your cat’s skin. Formula stays on and does not rub off. Directions: Remove one applicator tube from package and hold in an upright position away from your face. Twist dispensing tip clockwise about 1/2 turn while pushing down to break the tube’s seal. Do not remove the dispensing tip. Position the tip of the tube at the base of the pet’s back between the shoulder blades and squeeze out the entire contents of the tube to form a stripe as you move from the shoulder blades along the back to the base of the tail. The treated area may appear oily after application. Repeat every month. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged or medicated pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amount of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Great value, very effective.
My ten year old male cat is indoor out door. This works perfectly for us. I don’t spend more because this does the job. He usually has one or two ticks at the beginning of the season when it warms up or in the beginning of the fall when ticks are more prevalent. That’s my cure to start applying the treatment, after that he doesn’t get any more deer ticks as long as I treat him monthly. I typically apply a day in the first week of every month. I don’t treat him during the winter months when he stays indoors, but that’s my choice, you can treat monthly if you wish. My cat has never had a flea either with this treatment. I’m very satisfied with the results and price. It doesn’t irritate his skin, or cause any noticable side effects either. Use these products at your own descretion. If you live in a place that’s heavily infested, you may want to use something more powerful, if this works for you like it does for me, then why spend more?. I have mine under a subscription which conveniently delivers it to our home in a timely manner. Now I never have to worry about running to the store for flea and tick treatment.

I have used this flea and tick medication for about a year on my cat. It does work. I know bc I found ticks on my cat several times before using it. My only issue is my cat seems to lose hair in the application area within a week of application. I have never noticed any irritation, just some hair loss.

Can be harmful to cat
Ok I do not normally write reviews, but thought I would give an honest assessment of this product (Hartz UltraGuard Pro Topical Flea & Tick Prevention for Cats). I purchased this on 27 June 2024 and received it early the next morning. I opened the package and applied 1 tube – one drop, I checked to make sure it was flowing – to my cat. He was born on 8 August 2022, so is 1 year and 10 months old. HE went nuts, was running around the house and backed away from me when ever I reached for him. Then he disappeared for 4-5 hours, I called for him and he finally came out but was skittish. Once he let me pick him up, I noticed he was twitching at the spot I placed the treatment. The next day I noticed he was doing better and he did not seem to be scratching as much. Then a few days later I noticed he has a bald spot where the treatment was applied (See Picture). So it must have been painful and burned at least 1 to 2 days. Does it work? Well it is now July 1st and I still see fleas on him, am I going to apply the other 2 doses? I don’t think so. I used Frontline Plus on Oct 29th 2022 and he was fine – only a couple months old then. I think I will spend the extra money even though I am on a limited budget being retired. Don’t like to see him in like this nor in the pain I am sure he had the way he acted and his skin twitching the way it did.Over all it was on time, not damaged, easy to use, but harmed my cat!!!!! Works Great For My two Cats
I have been using this product for several months on both my cats and it has, by far, been the most effective in repelling fleas compared to anythibg else I have tried. I had to shave off a quarter sized patch of hair on the back of there necks to apply it,(she just LOVED that) but I have a long haired cat and that may not be necessary for every cat. You cannot let your cat try to lick it off of themselves because it may make them sick, thats why it is applied on back of neck, so be careful when using and be sure to read the directions. Very Easy to use.I was a little desturbed by the review claiming that this product will kill your pet. All I can say about that is I have been using this exact same product, on and off for a couple of years and I have encounterd no problems whatsoever regarding cat’s health. It doe make me a little weiry but it’s the only thing that I have found that works very well in repelling fleas. Plus, the stuff smells really good too, kinda like a nice women’s fragrance. This stuff does work.

Love this stuff
I realize that not all people can like every product. I love this product. When I had a dog I used Frontline and it worked best. However, it did not work for my cats, which is okay. I have used Hartz for several months for my furry friends and it seems to start working within 24 hours. Sometimes there is a greasy mess, but it still works, I just massage it in a bit. I will continue to use it for my feline friends.I would also suggest that if it doesn’t work for you, don’t bash it. I don’t bash Frontline because it didn’t work for my cats. It’s just the nature of having different brands and products.
