Perfect canning jar storage!
31 quart is perfect for canning jars. If you are ok with them not being in rows you can fit 17 quart size jars. And they work great for smaller jars also, cut cardboard to divide and stack. I’ve been happy with everything I’ve gotten from the IRIS brand. Perfect balance of price and quality. I was considering soft side or cardboard storage for my jars and these rodent proof and sanitizable containers are actually less $$. Nearly straight sides, lock together stacked, locking lids with lip and foam seal.

These Iris/Igloo storage bins stack nicely, have a tight-fitting lid, have lid clamps that seem to work well, and are a nice size for many products. Their generally square-corner design means they hold more or waste less space than many storage bins of similar size. I like the gasket around the lid, which provides a seal. I don’t know how long the gasket will last, but under hot, cold, or normal conditions I would expect several to a number of years of durability from the material.It is possible to get the lid-clamping handles to “pop” off, but with a little patience, they can be reattached. Lid clamps on all storage bins are a weak link; however, the design of these handles seems better than many I’ve used in the past.All plastic storage bins have a finite life; however, some bins have greater utility than others. Many bins taper so much from top to bottom that what they will hold is compromised. Some bins when stacked slide every direction. These bins have relatively straight sides, and when stacked they stay in place (although I’m sure in a vehicle with fast corning they will slide).Plastic storage bins don’t have the durability of steel bins with durable lid-clamping handles. What they do have is a price point that makes them affordable for many uses, unlike steel bins. These Iris/Igloo storage bins are priced well for their quality. They aren’t the cheapest bins, but they certainly aren’t prohibitively expensive. So far I’ve purchased them in several sizes and am totally satisfied with them.

Practical and functional
I needed some storage containers for food and these are exactly what I needed. I know some people have mentioned cracked lids from how they were shipped but mine arrived in mint condition and I quickly ordered a second batch. They are airtight and are easy to open and close. It’s also nice being able to see inside so you know what’s in the box without opening it. They also stack well, which makes it easier to move them around. I’m very pleased with the quality and design of these boxes.

I love the bins besides the fact that most of the time there are plastic pieces broken from the lids. I reached out to iris directly with no response on getting replacement lids. I’ve ordered these on Amazon twice now and each time lids have come damaged. This last time worse than the first. Still functional but the durability seems questionable

Arrives broken too often, poor design of latches, poor support on product, don’t waste your money
Good but arrived broken too often. Better Gormet than old. Redesign was better. Plastic is brittle and cracks to often, latches on side have small pins that fit into a eyelet that break off by just closing the lid. You cannot buy them from the company (so they want you to buy another box to fix a broken clamp). So boxes come and they use cheap cardboard packaging, pins on latches show up broken, no support after the fact. If you use their phone number and expect a call back, you can expect a call back never to date. (Used this a half dozen times, only once did they call back. If you do get someone, their phone system will sometimes disconnect you. Good luck, best product in some ways, support is non existent and design quality is poor ( they could use better material for latches and larger diameter pins, better Packing material in general. Weatherproofing material is better than before as a plus, but don’t waste your money. The quality of the product may be 3 but add in life that they will last with broken latches, make it a one, do not purchase in my suggestion. I do think it is now weatherproof with redesign of the Grommet manufacture, plastic cracks to easy and poor design of Latch pin keeps me from recommending it.

weather tight storage tubs
I actually have several sizes of these – this size is my favorite. Can’t make it so full I can’t lift it. The ‘weather tight’ – is a foam gasket inside the lid and the nice locking edge pieces. Nice to keep critters out. These are really great. A good size… and stack nicely – however, be aware, they don’t lock as they stack. The clear box is nice because you can see what’s in there. I just can’t seem to find these locally. So… I order here – delivered to my front door. You get 6 tubs, 6 lids. They are pretty heavy duty – but if you drop from a distance – they can crack. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Containers are good but packaging is awful!
The containers are the perfect size, but in the first box I received 5 of 6 boxes were broken, 4 of 6 lids were broken and there were shards of plastic and broken handles in the bottom of the box (when I picked it up it was obvious there were broken items, but it was left on my porch anyway). The large FRAGILE – HANDLE WITH CARE signs on 5 sides of the box were ignored and the box was clearly tossed to the ground (probably more than once). I’m glad I hung on to it for the replacement, because I was able to replace one broken box, a lid and 4 snap on handles in the second shipment. Fortunately, I now have a full set and I love them. They definitely need to be packaged with some TLC though. Don’t be hasty returning until you can put a full set together! Other than that, great price and the lids fit nicely.

None broken! What was expected, would buy again!
I purchased the 6 pk, 30 qt, happy to say none were broken! & are what was expected, seem pretty sturdy, container, lids, locks. I didn’t rate the waterproof bc I don’t plan on using outside but with the foam piece in the lid makes sense that it would be waterproof. They should work well for kids magformers & tunnel/marble toys. Happy w purchase & would buy again if need more.

Ok, first the negatives. I received 1 with a single broken handle, and the smell of them is pretty terrible. Even after a year or so the ones I haven’t used, or have only used a small amount have that chemical smell, and I did leave them open for just under 2 days when I first got them.The good, they stack really well, and are light weight. When not in use you can stack them inside each other and top with the lids, although the lid aren’t super smooth to stack. They feel really durable, as a 100kg person I can sit on them without feeling like I am going to break them (although I do not recommend as seats).

We really like the iris storage containers and have been transferring different items we have in storage into these containers. Especially in our garage where humidity can be high in the summer months. Our concern is that we have to have patience because often the Iris containers will arrive with one having some broken components. We have to then send all for back because your package incense and try to get an exchange our refund and re-order. So keep that in mind when you order these bins that there might be a defect that you have to deal with but once you get a perfect set they are awesome.
