This style of flameless candle is capable of being operated by a remote (sold separately). It is turned on and off by a switch on the bottom, which also activates the timer. Luminara Flameless LED Moving Flame Pillar Candles are made with 100% pure paraffin wax, hand poured and carefully designed to look like traditional candles. They are safer to use than traditional candles, since no actual combustion or wax consumption happens. That means no soot or chemicals are released into the air, making them perfect for use indoors. They’re perfect for households with small curious children and rambunctious pets.
The light is a warm white color encased in a yellow flame designed to be as realistic as possible. It automatically flickers when you turn the candle on, increasing the realism. The real paraffin wax is a traditional ivory color. Perfect for year-round use, they will go with just about any décor style.
The candles take 2 C batteries, and provide 600 hours of runtime. Batteries are not included. When using the timer function, the candle will light up for 5 hours, and then automatically shut off for 19 hours. With proper care, these flameless candles will provide years of lovely, safe illumination.
Candles come packaged in sturdy boxes to protect them during the shipping process. They also are easy to wrap without having to search for just the right shaped box. They make excellent presents for any occasion–Christmas, birthdays, Mother’s Day, party hostess gifts, or even for yourself!

Beautiful and reliable!
I just love these Luminara candles! I’ve been adding to my collection over time because they add such a nice ambience to my living room in the evenings. I find the timers extremely useful, I never have to remember to go around and shut them off. They are so realistic looking that I’ve had many people think they are real lighted candles! I always try to buy the ones that use either C or D cell batteries because they last for a really long time before I have to put in new batteries. I wish Luminara would make more of their candles that way, it’s so much better than the AA battery ones that have to be changed so much more often.

Very pleasant candle
We saw something like this at a rental house in Arizona. Looked online for a similar device. This one was much smaller candle than I thought. Should have payed closer attention to the description. The candle feels and looks real. Floppy flame is different than the flickering LED at the rental but still pleasant. Really like the TIMER mode with 5 hours on and 19 off. Would like more timer options but this is OK.Will probably buy a larger version. The two C-batteries have been going for several weeks. Supposed to last quite awhile (many months) in TIMER mode.

Realistic, looking candle
This is a great addition to our kitchen table. It’s safe; we have it under a wooden canopy. We couldn’t have put a real candle under there! It looks great and works perfectly. It flickers like a real candle. You won’t be disappointed if you get one for your home.

I love this candle. I was looking for something to put on our porch in the evenings inside a lantern. This candle is made to hold up outdoors. It has a timer that turns it on for 5 hours at a time and will auto turn on each day. I was looking for something easy that I didn’t have to turn on and off each day. The quality is nice and I’m hoping the battery life is just as good!

I always heard Luminara candles were realistic looking and they are! I have the wax ones and they are great. The timer feature is fantastic, they come on automatically once set. But the best part it the realistic flickering flame, not only does it move like a flame but it also casts a beautiful glow on the wall from the flame. Absolutely stunning in my sconces. Absolutely recommend and I definitely be back for more!

Love luminara candles!
I only by luminara candles and with C batteries and bigger. They last several months before needing new batteries. I bought this candle to put in a beautiful tall globe that previously had a mini light string in it. It used AA batteries and I had to change them every week. I just pushed the light string down and put this on top. The luminara candle even lights it better.
