My dogs and the cat approve of this bed
I’m doing another update on this bed, it’s nearly been a year later and this bed is still with us. It is used every day and washed every couple of weeks, sometimes more often. It is still hole free and tear free. I saw where others complained on the quality of this pet bed, but I haven’t had a issue. We have had this bed for about a year and a half, maybe closer to two years and it’s still in really good condition.An update on this bed: I bought this bed a really long time ago, well it seems like it anyway. Today’s date is September 25,2017. This bed gets used constantly! I have washed it at least 2 dozen times and it’s still held together. It has not ripped or torn, worn holes or anything. I even dry it in the dryer. For such a inexpensive bed we have gotten tons of use. The dogs and even the cat still like this bed, just as much as they did the day it arrived on our front porch.(Original review) I bought this bed for my senior boxer to use while we are in the living room. He has a very large custom made bed that sits in front of a large bay window. He doesn’t like it because he feels excluded when we gather and watch tv on Sunday nights. To fix that I bought this bed. When it arrived he was in heaven, he immediately laid down and fell into a deep sleep. The other boxer became jealous because he wouldn’t share with her. So it looks like I will be buying another one. The funny thing is even the cat has tried to claim ownership of this bed. Let’s talk quality now: This bed seems to be filled with a everyday batting, sort of feels like a very plush stuffed animal. The fabric feels like it may be a thin canvas, I’m not sure. When it gets dirty I will wash it up. If it needs replaced, I will replace it with another. It’s a great bed for a low price.

*Update 07/2024* Holds up to heavy washing. Have two now. Great quality, still good as new! It’s a BARGAIN anywhere near a $25 price point. It’s very basic, but that’s great for a bed that is likely to get trashed as most dog beds do until dogs get into their senior years. I have two Basenjis and this is a perfect size for them to share. I’m using it in an enclosed patio….The first thing they did was urinate on it so it went into the washer on the first day. It’s really easy to clean, size is a bit of an issue though because it takes a good sized washer and dryer to handle it. It takes a while to dry because it’s basically a giant pillow with a robust shell. I think it will hold up well against a decent amount of digging, but not so much against chewing. That’s ok, because when the price is right it’s a fair value to have a comfy bed while it lasts. I would buy again, and probably will if/when they destroy this one.

I have 3 of the around the house, including 1 in my girl’s crate. I agree with many of the other reviews. The bed is big (large fits my dog’s XL crate) and fluffy at first but quickly squashes down nearly flat. My dog likes to fluff it herself before laying down. Washing helps fluff it if I use dryer balls. The filling gets lumpy after numerous washes though. With all these issues what really matters is that my dog loves this bed! She’s kind of a weirdo anyway, so your opinion may vary based on whether your furball likes the bed.My dog is 14. When she started getting arthritis a few years ago I got her an expensive orthopedic bed. She was not happy and I ended up giving her back this big lumpy pillow she loves so much. She now has kidney disease so she has accidents sometimes, including occasional leakage in her sleep. I’ve washed these beds many times and they hold up really well. They are really big so they fill my oversized washer and leave behind tons of dog hair (she’s a fluffy lab/chow mix), so now I keep zippered waterproof covers on the beds so I don’t have to wash them as often (only when they get smelly).Bottom line: My dog will only sleep on this bed and she doesn’t mind the lumps or flattened batting – she just pushes it around and fluffs it to her liking. The beds are very durable (at least in the solid colors I’ve bought – navy blue and red mostly) and they wash and dry well. I have several and none have fallen apart like some other reviewers noted. The fabric is like a twill weave so I’m not sure why some people said it felt thin or cheap. Maybe if depends in which fabric you choose. For the price, I’m happy because she’s happy.

The ruler in my mind is NEVER correct… When I ordered the ‘medium’ sized pet bed pillow, I thought it would fit her and give a wee bit of wiggle room. Holy smokes! These pillows are big! And fluffy, too! Very nice skid resistant bottoms. Very durable, lovely printed canvas tops — I purchased two of the Trellis Teal. I LOVE them! I have not washed them yet, but these pillows are very sturdy, with good stitching, and I have no doubt they’ll hold up to being either wiped down or machine washed.My dog, an 8lb Poohuahua that suffers from a severe case of ‘The Princess and the Pea’ syndrome and refuses to sleep on any sort of bed that she’s unable to literally sink down into — she loves them, too. She’s still trying to figure out just how much of a jump she’ll need to do to get on top of the pillows — she overshot the first attempt and was quite embarrassed and humiliated from doing so — but she’ll figure out just how much ‘umph’ she needs to get on top of them soon enough.I think these dog pillows are great. I definitely recommend them. And if she ever wears these two out, which I very seriously doubt, I will be purchasing them again.
