Love the scent, but when I received the candles ONE was already burnt part way! I messaged customer service but there is no more option to contact seller. So instead of doing a return I waited to hear back

I recently decided to search for home scent options, since my aromatherapy diffuser finally broke and the 3 I have tried since all proved highly unsatisfactory. I was happy to see Mrs. Meyer’s candles because I like the non-chemical, naturalness of all the products. I feel like I could eat directly off the counter I have cleaned with their cleaner. I ordered one each of basil and lemon. Basil is the scent I get for both dish detergent and the all-purpose concentrated cleaner which I have liked and used for a couple years now. I will say this: they are kind of small but the wax is SOLID; that’s why it is longer lasting than a typical candle. I live in the hottest part of the US, and it was recently 110 when the first one, basil, was left on the front patio. The heat was intense and the package in indirect sunlight would have melted nay other cheap candle but not so Mrs. Meyer;s formulation. “Brownie points.” But also upon arrival the basil had NO SCENT at all, unless you want to count a very mild scent reminiscent of “sterno” when lit, and only detectable when I put my nose right up close. Neighbor said “neigh” or is it “nay” to smelling anything herbal at all. She likes the smell of my counter top cleaner, so she knows what we were expecting to find. I doubt this “loss” of scent was due to being in the heat before opening, as if the aromatic oils were somehow evaporated as my neighbor suggested. It was returned, thanks Prime. The lemon scented candle came a couple days later and upon opening I could definitely smell a lemon-like fragrance. And, now as I sit, it is definitely filling the room with scent even within an hour’s time. Unfortunately, to my nose, it is the lemon scent of furniture polish not lemons. I wonder how the other scents might do? I have tried and rejected Geranium dish soap for its smell. I wonder if these are really true essential oils, or if our noses have become so used to fake smells we think they are real and the real scents seem bad? I may try lavender; I got also the Mrs. Meyer’s room spray in lavender so time will tell on that.

Best scent by Myers day for sure
My fav candle by this brand lemon verbena by Myers cleaning day all the way. Don’t even waste your time trying their other scents. At least that’s my opinion. Anytime I try a diff one I regret not getting this one instead. But I’ll still try a few others just to be sure lol. The lavender one sadly smelled more like soap but oh well because the lemon one makes up for it,
