Beautiful Candle
I love this holiday candle from NEST and try to always have one for Christmas time. The packing is lovely as is the pattern on the candle glass as well. It is a substantial size and weight and would make a lovely gift. The scent reminds me of laying under the tree when I was a kid – a cool winter forest. Well worth the price as it has hours of burn time, or you can just enjoy the unlit scent and admire it as a holiday decoration.

Love this strong, yet soft scent – it just encircles you and provides calm and invigoration.On top of that, the glass holder is spectacular – so classy and elegant. I will buy many more of these!

Surprised by the quality!
So I am not your typical “candle” person and never thought I would be using a scented candle on a regular basis so was surprised at the quality of the NEST candles. For me, scented candles seem to work the first couple of times, but then seemed to “fade” and didn’t really use them after the first few times. In this case, the NEST candles work from the very first lighting to the very end – the bonus is that they have really wonderful “scents” and some the are so unique there are no com parables. Yes, they are quite a bit more that the “discount store” brands but there is not comparison to the quality. I happen to love the “pine scent” around the “holiday season” at the end of the year and this one is particularly fantastic. I have purchased several of the other scents as well and have never been disappointed.

Finally, a perfect scent for the holidays
These Nest candles are amazing. They aren’t cheap, but you get what you pay for here. This particular scent (Birchwood Pine) is actually more Christmas-y than their “Holiday” scent if you ask me, but get both if you can! I bought the 2 oz votive and the 8.1 oz classic and both are excellent. The votive is surprisingly powerful for such a small candle; you can really smell it across a small living room after a few minutes. Also the scent is a welcome one for someone like me in California who doesn’t see the winters of my Colorado childhood anymore!The great thing about the Nest candles is they avoid smelling like those over-the-top cheap candles pumped full of fake cinnamon, etc. My girlfriend and mom both loved receiving these last year. I highly recommend these if you want a little nostalgic scent.

Comparable to Mrs. Meyers Iowa Pine Candle
Bottom Line: A fantastic holiday candle that smells great, burns clean, and most importantly makes you feel that winter is here.I purchased this candle to replace last year’s Mrs. Meyers Iowa Pine candle. ($12 w/ shipping for 25 hour burn time last I checked). I would say that the NEST Birchwood Pine is less sweet smelling than the Iowa Pine, which is good in my opinion. Overall, while it is a bit expensive, if you’re looking for a candle that will remind you of winter and last all season, this is the one.
