NuWave Combo Oven Fryer Not For Me
I researched for days on end before settling on this NuWave Bravo Pro Convection Air Fryer combo unit. Gotta say I’m disappointed to the point its now sitting in the back of my car for a trip to Goodwill. I don’t have the strength to rebox it to send back.This unit runs VERY HOT I ensured it had all the required clearance space recommended but the wall, the electric outlet, cord to the outlet, and the cabinet well above the unit were overly hot.I live in an apartment with very little counter space but enough for this unit with some rearranging. I just can’t afford to take the chance that I’d cause some seriously harmful damage if I continued to use it.There was no smell at first use so yay on that. The space inside the oven is very minimal. It seemed to me that other than toasting sliced bread or bagels, your food is very nearly touching the heating rods and seriously that is asking for trouble.There are some combo oven units out there that are designed in a verticle housing design where this is most definitely horizontal. I’m thinking the verticle would be the better option but tight on space here so I’ll have to continue to use my regular oven for everything as I have been.Best of luck to you if you’re able to use this oven.

Controls are great and straight forward. Nice unit
Just the right size for my small kitchen and it looks great too. I have been experimenting with the settings and food to get a good feel on how to adjust my recipes. My garlic rosemary potatoes roasted beautifully. It did not get as hot as I thought it might – did see some steam as my parboiled potatoes started the roasting process. It cooled fairly quickly which was awesome. Clean up has been easy also. I am looking forward to using it quite a bit.

Generally a good appliance
This product works great and crisps and toasts quickly. I have one observation and one complaint.I noticed when I bought it that it only has one interior shelf. I didn’t think this would be an issue but I really wish it had two. That is my observation.Secondly, since August we’ve noticed that the fan has started buzzing when we turn the appliance on. The buzzing doesn’t last long but it is too new to have such a malfunction. I hope it doesn’t get worse.

No Internal Light! “New Smell” Will Not Go Away!
I want to love this toaster oven/air fryer badly. As far as cooking, it works great – cooks items fast and evenly, and is very QUIET (compared to my last convection bake with fan). We used this on Thanksgiving for a few side dishes and it got the job done however I have 2 major problems with the unit. First – I followed the instructions exactly as it says (regarding cleaning of the internal pieces), but there is a smell (plastic? new toaster oven smell?) that has not subsided as of yet (few weeks in). The other major flaw is there is NO internal light – the pictures are SO deceiving. Every picture shows the machine fully lit. Yes its a small toaster oven, but not having an internal light is a major flaw. The menu and buttons aren’t as convenient as they should be but I could deal with that. May be returning. Will update review at a later time.

There’s no way a whole chicken can fit in this oven although they advertise a whole chicken in the video!!

It’s easy to use.
Though I haven’t cooked with it yet, I’m very happy with the easy controls, knob to adjust temperature/time, and clear instructions. The panel is well lit and easy to see, navigate. I had ordered a different unit but returned it as the tiny print on the digital screen was impossible to read. This unit does have a strong chemical odor on unpacking, but I followed the directions to wash everything and wipe down the inside with a damp cloth, then run it at 425 for 25 minutes. That took care of the odor. It’s very handsome and takes up a small amount of counter space, considering what it can do. I plan to start collecting air fryer recipes for veggies as I’ve never used one before. The cost is very reasonable.

I wish it was as big as the original and had an oven light. I cannot even fit a 9×13 pan in here or a 12” pizza pan. Would have been nice to have colors but in the larger size. I am disappointed in these things. Only bought to replace my stainless one that is 3 yrs old because I wanted the blue color to match my NuWave Brio air fryer.
