Very reliable. Easy to useThe only problem I see is when changing the battery. Would need a tiny screwdriver to remove backing to get at battery.

Handy kitchen tool
This is such a must have for the kitchen! It is easy to use and my favorite part is the cover that has temps on there for cooking different types of meat. With my old thermometer, I had to look up temps every time I used it. This one is so handy. The display is easy to read. It seems pretty sturdy. I always have it at hand!

Digital Disaster!
I have a meat thermometer from decades ago (an “inheritance” from my mom) and need something digital/instant read, made in the 21st century. I was mainly looking for something I could use for assessing water temperatures after heating it for my Water Pik. I don’t know what sort of quality testing — or lack thereof — this thermometer went through, but it’s dysfunctional. No matter what I do with it, it reads 145 degrees. The numbers are clear and large, for whatever that’s worth. Customer support at OXO said it sounded broken, but because I got it from Amazon, OXO can’t replace it or refund the cost. I debated whether I should get it swapped out, but decided against that in case it comes from a batch of lemons. So, I’ll be tramping off to Whole Foods to return it for a refund. It’s a rather long walk to get there and I miss Amazon’s days of letting us have UPS pick up our returns — free. Guess with the explosion of online ordering since the pandemic, paying for UPS to pick up returns doesn’t fit with the profit margins. Fortunately, I do need an order from Whole Foods. So, I’ll be killing two birds with one stone by going shopping and returning the OXO thermometer. Will need to go searching for a functional digital thermometer. Cross your fingers!

Excellent tool!
Excellent thermometer. Very fast, and I really like the swiveling head. And it even has the recommended temperatures on the cover.

Worked great for a while and would have worked for another long time if my wife and I had not kept dropping it from the kitchen counter. You see, this one has a on/off button on the top. When we drop it, the button takes the beating. Finally the button gave up. Otherwise it’s a good product with great features. Tilting function is awesome.I’d like to see a fucture iteration with the power button repositioned to backside.
