One day, I rummaged through my makeup bag and couldn’t find my nail clippers. Not sure where they disappeared to, but nothing could be done—had to buy new ones!In short: nail clippers are just nail clippers, right? However, there are a few details worth discussing in more depth.First, let’s talk about the size. Probably you’d be surprised, but nail clippers come in all sizes and forms. This particular specimen is medium-sized (you may think of it as a standard one), which works well for fingernails. It’s not suitable for toenails, but I’m sure you weren’t expecting that anyway, right?Next, the sharpness of the blades. These are budget-friendly clippers, and it’s often the case that while they may look good, their cheap origin becomes obvious—like blades that don’t align well, looseness when cutting, or dull edges. Thankfully, that’s not the case here. The cutting edge is sharp and sturdy enough to cut-off even fairly thick nails.How does the clipper feel in hand? The grip is great, actually. It’s about the right size for a girl with medium-sized palms, and thanks to the sharpness and solid build, it’s easy to trim nails either with right or left hand. Feel yourself like a ambidexter!My verdict: this is a quality tool that I can confidently recommend. It’s worth every penny!

Large, sturdy, strong toenail clip, great for those who need all these in clippers
This is a large toenail clip, I think it would be suitable for men/people with large toenails. I have smaller feet and toenails, so for me it’s not the best (especially for smaller toes). Nonetheless, I do manage to use it to clip my toenails, and even my nails (if I’m very careful). But if you have large and thick toe nails, this is a clip for you (I know my grandfather would love such a large strong clip, for example).The handle is comfortable, but the clip is very sturdy and requires some strength in handling. The overall finish isn’t the best quality, but I see this lasting for years and years.The lever action is easy to use with either hand if you are ambidextrous. I’m right handed and I can barely use this with my left.I appreciate the added file, with a small hook (which I use for my big toe, prone to ingrown nail, to get edges out).From being so sturdy and `stiff`, you need to clip the nails fast and strong; otherwise you might not get a perfect smooth finish. Again, you need to clip, not cut (the way one would do with a nail scissors).My biggest complaint is that the product description doesn’t state the size, so that people would be aware this is a large clip. I added a photo with dollar bill for size reference.
