Excellent, high quality votive candles
These candles are well worth the few cents more they cost than cheaper candles on the market. They don’t sputter, or flood and burn themselves out. They also burn cleanly, and last a very long time. It is so nice to have a candle do exactly what it is supposed to do! Made by a well-known, long established American company. I hope they continue to make these wonderful candles.

Root candles mean best quality
These are perfect candles for votive holders. The candles last longer and I like the unscented version for my purposes.

Good, but….
Good candles, but they do not burn for 10 hours as described. It was more like 6-7. That’s all good, but not what is advertised.

these are not as good as the Root tapers and other candles. Disappointed, they do not hold their shape as they burn, but start to puddle. This means they don’t burn as long and are harder to clean out of votives.

No smell- just pure hope and light!
This is my second order! I love the way these burn softly and purify my room. I cover them to put them out so they give off no smoke-My only suggestion is that the company seal the box before the order is shipped out. Both times I received them the box was open and the candles spilled out into the large mailing envelope- not catastrophic- but avoidable.

Burn well, poorly shipped
These candles burn well. However, when I received my order, the plastic box containing the candles had sprung open, and many had fallen out. The candles and the box were too loosely packed in a big envelope.

Poor quality, not as advertised.
Root Candle Co. advertise that each beeswax blend votive will be 2″ by 2″, and 2 oz. They send you candles which are 1.5″ by 1.5″ size, and 1.5 oz. So you’re getting short changed right there by false advertising. The thin wick just crumbled into the wax, and made a mess. They advertise a bees wax blend, but nowhere on the box does it say beeswax. I’m sending these back unless they want to replace them with the product that they advertised..

Scent free, clean burning candles!
I wanted some plain white 10-hour votive candles that burned nice and clean and that were 100 percent SCENT-FREE!! And these fit the bill. I am sick to death with so much SCENTED EVERYTHING in the marketplace. I don’t want any scented candles, air fresheners or anything interfering with my dinner—the delicious aroma of good food at every holiday or special meal is part of the joy of eating — and cooking! If you love the look of real candlelight (I put them in sparkling, clear glass votive holders) spread around the dinner table, you won’t be disappointed with these Root votives. I definitely will be reordering.

These candles are described as a beeswax blend. I think there is very little beeswax in the blend.
