Heated mattress pad, love it!
I really love this. It’s so much better than a heated blanket because you’re laying right on top of it and it warms you right on your body. I believe it has 12 heat settings or maybe 10. Either way I haven’t even had to go past number three. It heats up very quickly like within 15 to 20 minutes. Which is great. It’s also very comfortable and fits on the bed very nicely. The way the plug connector is almost hidden inside the foot end of the mattress pad, I couldn’t even find it for a while. I had to figure out where it was. Other than that, this thing is great.

We had bought this last winter when we knew our old Sunbeam was giving up, just in case — but didn’t put it on until things started getting chilly this year.Fits well and heats up pretty quickly, but has a few negatives: for one, the display is not backlit so finding the controls in the dark are a pain; second, it seems to concentrate the heat from your butt to your head — would prefer it more towards my feet. Not our favorite heated mattress pad, but will live with it for now.

Heats up Quickly!
Purchased this to replace an existing heated mattress pad that was 5 years old and was not working on my husband’s side. Tried out this new one last night and loved it! It heated up quickly and you could feel the heat from your head to your toes. My husband’s back was bothering him yesterday so he turned his side on and he said it was like having a heating pad on his whole back and legs. We also like that you can set the control to have it auto-shut off after a specified amount of time. I started out having my side set at “3” but then I had to lower it to “2” because I was too warm. Another feature that I loved was that the light on the control box does not stay on all night. I am one that does not like a lot of light glowing in the room when I go to sleep. I think I made the right choice and I would highly recommend!

Needs some improvements
POSITIVE: Quick warmup is very nice. No cold strip up the middle on queen size. Toe-buster connections located out of the way to the outer corners.NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: Why do mattress “pads” not have any padding? Sleeping on wires is not a pleasant sensation. Can’t we get just a little padding over the wires? Cheap felt backing will not contribute to longevity. Controllers need a tiny LED on the on/off switch so we know when they are ON, and also so we can find them in the dark. Power/controller wires are about four feet too short. Not everyone has ideal power outlet or nightstand locations. The LOW setting is sometimes too warm for me, nine higher settings is overkill. The length of the warranty is not mentioned anywhere.

***UPDATE*** Received the email and was given a refund which I applied towards the purchase of another Sealy Heated Mattress Pad in May. After 8 months this “new” mattress pad also failed! I’ve tried for 2 days now to reach KATA because Sealy says I have to go through their “3rd party manufacturer” and both days I’ve called and I get a automated message stating their customer service reps are out of the office (first call was at 9AM MST and today I called at 12 PM MST). So I was forced to send an email, per the automated message, and included all of the details, Amazon invoice and a photo and wait for a response….I’m still waiting after 2 days!Bought this mattress pad February 19th and by May 20th it had stopped working. When it was working it worked well, almost too well! The low setting would get extremely warm and it was perfect to use just long enough to make the bed warm and then shut off for the night. However, after following all the troubleshooting tips when it stopped heating, it still does not heat. I called Sealy who told me to call their 3rd party manufacturer of the pad, Kata. I called Kata and they took all of my information and said I would receive an email within 24 hours to tell me if they were replacing or refunding….will update when I receive that email and know what the company is going to do.
