Well, there are many variations of this multitool, even by the same company. I chose this one based on size and utility. I don’t work in the small rig world this was built for, but I do work in film and TV. It had come in handy several times in the last month. I don’t know if the next model up would help as much but I am satisfied. Also, it is very helpful when I need to leave my leatherman at home because of airplanes and it is a fine answer when people ask me if I have a quarter.

Nice Design, But
I really like the design of this Multi Tool and the fact that it was designed and endorsed by the folks at Film Riot made it more appealing. I have the non branded version of this tool that I’ve owned for several years and find that I use it almost every day so having a second one allows me to keep one at home and one in my camera bag for run & gun situations. The advantage of the FIlm Riot version aside from the design is that it locks the tools in place until you push the buttons on the side. Once a tool is out for use it remains locked in place until you again push the button to return it. The only problem is that after using it for a while the locking feature stopped working on one side of the tool. Still works but the extra money paid for the locking function is a disappointment .Looks cool though and the fact that it comes in different colors is a bonus. Whether it’s this version or the standard version every Photographer or Videographer should have one of these multi tools and throw away all those hundreds of allen wrenches that you get with almost every piece of gear you purchase. Don’t leave home without one!

Great tool to have
I put this in my car go bag, because I wanted a very lightweight tool to keep in the truck. You never know when you are going to need something like this. And I’ve actually already used it a couple of times. Worked flawlessly. This fit the bill perfectly for what I was wanting. It’s lightweight, compact, and useful. If you drop it on the ground, you can see it because of the color. All around very happy with this little tool.
