    Gets the job done
It’s hard to find an affordable, OTC flea repellant that applies monthly on the neck and WORKS. This stuff does the job.I have two 25 pound dogs and the small dog application is way smaller and ridiculously expensive. Our monthly budget is super tight, but I must take care of my animals, so I went looking for a cheaper way to get a good OTC flea repellant that works. This WORKS. For me. I can’t guarantee it’ll work for you, of course. I don’t know you, I don’t know your dog. Duh. Fleas are different all over the nation and some have developed immunity to this kind of repellant and some repellants just don’t work.Disclaimer: I’m about to tell you what I do with this. If you decide to do the same, I take no responsibility for your results. I’m just saying this works for me.Ok, so I did some research on The Innernetz. I found out that if you get the extra large dog size, you get way more medicine for your money. It makes it cost way less per ml. I got this item. I got a little, airtight, really secure glass bottle, and a 1.0ml syringe. All from Amazon. The research I found said to use 1.2ml for a 25 pound dog. So at the beginning of every month, I open one extra large dog application, squirt it into the little glass jar, stick in the blunt syringe, and pull the plunger all the way, which is about 1.2ml. I then apply it on my dogs just as I would the small dog application. No fleas in our house. Thank GOD. Because once they get in, they’re almost impossible to get rid of, and it’s crazy-making. BTW, dusting diatomaceous earth and using an insect growth regulator are a good way to get rid of an infestation.

Works the 1st time! Even on ferrets
This is the ONLY brand I trust and will ever purchase. The formula is effective pretty quickly. My animals can’t stand when I apply this to them but it is the only brand that I have found to ever kill and get rid of fleas completely, I’ve tried so many too! I use this on my ferrets too, but super carefully! I drip the formula into a glass vile and use a mL syringe. I’ve adopted many ferrets infested with fleas and this is the only formula that has ever successfully killed the fleas. It doesn’t burn them, but they must be separated until it’s completely dry or else they may get it in there mouths from playing with each other. Overall great product and a must-have in my home!

If you have a bunch of dogs and/or small, oddly-shaped fluffy dogs, get this.
To date, the only consistently-working topical flea treatment/medication I’ve tried that isn’t either uselessly short-lived or just plain useless. The fleas in my house were out of control, and no amount of vacuuming, dusting, spraying, etc helped; applied Advantage II to all three of the house uh, dogs, and within 24 hours they were clear of the little bloodsuckers and a half-week later they’d managed to “infect” most of the fleas in the house as well. You might want to keep your pet(s) off the furniture for a day or so after applying: the fleas start losing motor control, spasming and falling off very soon after Advantage II contacts them. Don’t be alarmed if your pet(s) start scratching more than usual after application, all the twitching going on by the dying fleas is quite itchy and the stuff itself is a mild skin irritant.Don’t fall victim to the price-gouging more than you need to; buy bulk, the biggest Extra-Large Dogs package you can, and distribute it as needed between your indoor dogs and suspiciously-fluffy meowing dogs. You can find dosages both in other comments and other places online. For easy dosing, visit your local drugstore or livestock supply store and grab (1) a syringe capable of 0.1ml increments and (2) a small glass medicine bottle to empty the “vials” into. Bonus points if you can remove the tip of the syringe needle (I used a small metal file, jewelry wire snips might work too), as this makes the needle far safer to handle and it’s useful for getting every last bit out of the bottle. Only open and use one vial at a time, close the bottle tightly and store in a cool and dark location between rounds of dosing to help keep it potent.
