Great snack
One of my favorite snacks to take to work. The carb count is surpisingly acceptable for the size considering they are on the sweet side and have extra protein that I need! Great price for a protein snack as well.

Cherrios Protein Snack Bars that taste even better than the cereal we all love!
Cherrios in a tasty protein snack bar – what a great combination! Cherrios remain one of America’s favorite breakfast cereals. But up ’til now they haven’t branched out to a newer market for those on the “go”. These new Cherrios protein bars come in 2 flavors and are made in Canada. Both flavors – Mixed Berry and Chocolate Peanut Butter – have 7 grams of protein per bar. Additionally they are not “heavy” as some protein snack bars are. They are the right size for a quick anytime “pick me up”. They are only slightly sweet so they aren’t going to spoil your next meal or go beyond your blood sugar level tolerance either. Both children and adults should like these. My local grocery store now sells a matching Cherrios Protein cereal, but didn’t carry these healthy snack bars. So I was so glad to find them on Amazon! They are a good value for the money with 5 bars to a box for less than $5. Try them!

Rancid
This is my first time trying these so I don’t know if this is normal but… they taste rancid. Straight up rotten. Very bad. I’m wondering if something happened where, because they’re coming from Amazon, they weren’t kept in a room temperature environment? Like maybe they got hot for a long time and just… went bad. No idea, but they’re awful. I do not recommend. (The chocolate peanut butter flavor was completely fine – melted but tasted great. I wonder if the fruit in the berry flavor just… went bad.)

My new favorite night time snack! I love cereal, and I find these to be a perfect go to! With the added protein, fiber and not crazy amounts of sugar, I feel good about eating these!

Awful taste
Full disclosure: I’m admittedly something of a picky eater. But I didn’t anticipate that causing any huge problems here. I like Cheerios, I like chocolate and peanut butter, I even like most protein bars–which makes this product an obvious buy, right?Not so much. One bite of this, and I want to eat something else to get the unpleasant taste out of my mouth immediately. I eventually made myself eat one full bar, but I could only take one bite every few minutes, and I practically had to force myself to do it.I can’t say what exactly left that bad taste–if it was a protein aftertaste, or part of the product going stale/rotten, or just something that struck my taste buds the exact wrong way. But I hated the taste of these bars, and ended up giving the remaining ones away to get them out of my house.
