Perfect for smaller homes and apartments, can handle a-lot of pet hair!
This is a perfect vacuum for a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom apartment. I was nervous for the price but am so happy with it overall! I say its perfect for apartment because the battery does not really last past 30 mins but thats all you need for those sized spaces! The dirt collector or “tank?” if you will is little small so just make sure to empty when full! We have three cats and a very fury long haired husky mix and it works on all there hair! Past less expensive products all usually break within the first few uses but this vaccum is durable can handle all types of fur and is def worth it!

Very few products are truly life changing but this is one of them. Vacuuming used to be a weekly chore I dreaded, lugging the heavy machine around with a short cord that had to be constantly re plugged into a new outlet and emitted a slightly burning dirt odor. For Prime Day I splurged on this Dyson I’ve always wanted and it was worth every penny! Vacuuming is now a quick and painless every-other-day chore that not only leaves my house cleaner than it ever has been but also emits nice clean smelling cool ionizer air. No the battery does not last that long but I don’t need to be vacuuming for more than 40 mins at a time anyway with my bad back, even though the Dyson is very lightweight and comfortable to hold even though you have to hold the button down which is a tad annoying but I got used to it fast. Picks up an indescribable amount of hair and fur from my 3 kitties. Over the moon happy!

Horrible Battery Life
Great vacuum cleaner. It’s lightweight. Easy to use. I like the attachments and how easily to converts to a handheld vacuum. The suction is outstanding. Here is what I absolutely hate about it and what ruins everything else for me: the battery life. It lasts so little. Especially if you use the turbo option. It lasts less than 30 minutes. It’s super disruptive when cleaning and you’re stuck waiting for it to charge so you can continue using it. I have heard the Dyson V15’s battery life is way better. I wish I would’ve gotten that instead. I know it’s more expensive. It’s a huge disappointment because this vacuum is not cheap. It’s several hundred dollars. And I think it’s so disrespectful to the consumer spending all this money on a vacuum cleaner for us to not be able to fully use it as intended because the manufacturer couldn’t produce a better battery. Having to stop and recharge every 20 to 30 minutes is a joke. I’ll be returning it.

Just as good as the plug in the wall high dollar vacuum cleaners!
These Dyson vacuum cleaners imo work just as good as my Electrolux! The suction is as good & might have a little bit more suction than my Electrolux, and that’s saying something!! If you turn on the super suction button, I know it has more suction and no cords to plug into the wall or hoses to hook up. I have a 3-bedroom rancher with a den and a porch that was added on back in the 70’s. I hate to say it, but the Dyson almost makes vacuuming fun! This is my second Dyson V8. The first one still works, but I dropped it a couple of times, and the plastic around the motor is broken, and it loses suction, so I bought a new one. I love how you can replace the battery when it wears out and can buy a new roller when the original one wears out. very easy to replace parts when necessary.

UNERGONOMICAL
Suction is great with turbo mode. Regular mode also is fine. Brush is amazing with how it doesn’t get covered in hair. Clog detection is good too. But such good vacuum engineering is fouled by ignorance of basic utility: you have to hold the trigger all the time to make it run, so incredibly UNERGONOMICAL. Battery life not great between charges.

Powerful, durable, stylish, and ergonomic
I had purchased one about 3 years ago and like it so much I bought another one for my mother.The vaccumm is shipped and packaged very well and is very easy to assemble. The vaccum has a high quality feel and you can tell by the materials used, even though its not too heavy and easy to manuver.The best part of the vaccum is the suction it has, works really well on tile and carpet (must have if you have pets)…and I notice on the tile the suction works so well it pickups up the fine little dust that brooms and lower quality model miss.One suggestion I do have is it would be nice if Dyson were to make it to were you didin’t have to keep on pressing the on button to vaccuum…sometimes it would be nice to push the button down once and it stay on until I turn it off.Another thing that would be nice is a light, these things are not cheap, and a light should come standard in my opinion, but you may get the options on the more expensive versions.Overall I recommend this product to family and friends, even entrust it for my mother, and I do have one that is holding up for a few years now, so it is a durable product.

Great little product
Most convenient cleaning tool in our home. Cleans well, empties easily. Takes little storage space in our mudroom. Vacuums both tile and carpet for those quick spills. Has a display that tells how much battery power is left in terms of minutes. Full charge is in the half hour range.

battery issues
I want to give a 5 star rating but after having the machine for one year, it is already starting to lose battery capacity. The price for a replacement is over 130 dollars. I’m disappointed that for the money initially spent, I would have to consider replacing the battery at that cost and just one year into it’s use. Otherwise, the convenience, the light weight feature and the easy emptying of the canister is terrific. If only the battery would last longer.

The hairscrew tool is shown to be included in this set and that is why I bought this set for my pets hair problem but that specific tool is not included and will be returning the complete set.

I love my Dyson! This is my first Dyson in about 5 years (I lost my previous one in the divorce… lol) and it works like a charm! The suction is very strong, and it vacuums up all my cat hair with ease and in a timely manner.I like that it comes with other attachments, including the smaller vacuum head. It’s very neat and handy for when you have tight spaces to get into. I also like that it charges relatively fast; compared to my Shark handheld vacuum, this one charges very quick.I don’t think there’s any negatives! This is a really good vacuum and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s in the market for a new vacuum.
