Much more practical than a Vitamix
If you want to get away from plastic , this is a great option. I much prefer it to my Vitamix as I can make smaller batches for sauce and smoothie. I use it a lot more. Very powerful , compact on your counter, a bit loud but totally acceptable. Will be your go to in no time and easy to clean as it is glass.

Workhorse of a Blender
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wow! No wonder this blender is still being made. It is amazing! I had a Kitchen Aid that cost me two and a half times more and this does a better job. I love the three power levels and that is all you need! It’s a workhouse and it is worth every penny. It is funny it is the one I grew up with over 60 years ago! I love that it is a glass blender with a metal blade. The blender jar is a good size, but smaller than my Kitchen Aid. No biggie I can do two batches for extra large recipes, but for the most part capacity is enough for most jobs.

Great Blender My Girlfriend Loves, but Packaging Needs Improvement
I bought this fruit juicer blender as a gift for my girlfriend, and she absolutely loves it. She uses it every single day to make smoothies and fresh juice, and it works perfectly for blending fruits quickly and smoothly. The design is convenient, and the motor is powerful enough for everyday use. However, when it arrived, I noticed there was a small missing corner on the bottom pad. It’s not a huge issue for functionality, but it was disappointing to see on a brand-new product. I hope the seller can improve the packaging or quality check before shipping.Overall, very satisfied with the performance, but I wish the condition on arrival had been perfect.

Works well
A classic that will outlast “modern” blenders.

Don’t buy this one
Control knob quit working 3 days after the return window closed.Don’t buy this product. Oster used to be good quality, not any more.

What To Do When Your 58 Year Old Blender Dies.
What do you do when your 58 year old Osterizer finally dies? You buy another Oster blender. Yes, our Osterizer was a wedding gift 58 years ago and finally just gave up.This one is great. The 5 cup glass jar, was one of the important things I wanted in a blender, an even faster motor, and everything but the base fits right in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. But because it comes apart so easily it rarely goes in the dishwasher. Will it last another 58 years? Who knows? I guess I’ll have to wait until we celebrate our 116th wedding anniversary.

Perfect Replacement
I needed a replacement for the Oster blender I inherited. After 60+ years of perfection the old machine was whining. I researched, and found Oster made a blender that looked similar. (See photo) The new one works like a charm, no learning curve involved. Quieter than the old one, very happy with its performance. Price good, performance excellent, and arrived timely and well-packaged. Old blender on left with white base, new on right chrome. Looking forward to another few decades of use.

Looks Great and Works Fine But…
Looks great and works fine, but don’t expect this to be the same quality as the real original from way back.

La mejor licuadora que he tenido en años, la verdad me sorprende su capacidad para licuar, no he tenido problemas y el vaso de vidrio es un plus

Our 30 year old Oster started to leak. I bought a new blade assembly but it didn’t quite fit, so we ended up buying a new blender. To my surprise, the quality seems as good as the original. I would have preferred the toggle switch rather than the dial, but that’s the model Amazon carries. I was pleased to discover that the old food processor accessory that came with the old one still works on the new one. This is advertised as a 3 speed blender, but the dial has 6 settings. The old one had a toggle with pulse, off, and full on, which is all you really need. Most of the paperwork is written in Spanish and all the listed service centres are in Mexico or further south. I don’t think most Canadians will be sending their blender to Mexico for service.

I went out of my way to find an affordable glass pitcher blender (they’re hard to find at this price point). I opted for this based on the reviews. While many pointed out the powerful motor and the fact that this specific model has been going strong for over 30 years, it doesn’t blend as well as my Ninja which I replaced due to the plastic components (microplastics) and the fact that the pitcher was starting to absorb odours. The motor is powerful on this machine (and loud) but the ingredients for my smoothie (which is all I really use it for) don’t even fully mix in the jar unless I put it on the max speed (?!) Even then, it’s not as frothy as my Ninja made them.I’m going to keep it because I need something that will last long, look good on my counter (which it does, love the retro vibe) and not leach microplastics into my food. Having said that, if you’re using it for more than I am, or expect more thorough and efficient blending, you may want to look elsewhere. It’s very odd because the motor is powerful, so it must be the design. The jar is quite small too, only 5 cups so also keep this in mind.I self clean it by adding some hot water and 1-2 drops of dishsoap, blend on high and then rinse. Once a week you will need to take apart the bottom part of the jar (gasket, blade and twist cap) and soak those components in dishsoap to clean it more thoroughly, especially if you use it daily like I do.There was a slight burning smell when I used it the first few times. This is normal and will dissipate after a few uses. It’s as a result of the manufacturing oils that are coating the interior components of the machine.I hope this review has helped you. Have a lovely day.

This blender persistently gives off a bad burning wire smell that makes it unusable.
