Helps to remove dog hair from clothes
I ordered these wool dryer balls because I don’t want to use dryer sheets anymore. I have learned that dryer sheets are bad for our fabrics, as well as the machine. A natural alternative like wool dryer balls appeals to me. I can even add essential oils to the dryer balls so I don’t miss the scents from dryer sheets. Perhaps the biggest reason I ordered them is because I have a solid white dog who sheds an insane amount of hair daily. I got tired of our freshly laundered clothing coming out of the dryer with white hair still attached. Anything that can help separate the dog hair from our clothes is greatly appreciated. I only wash full loads of laundry, so I choose to use all six of the balls in my dryer at one time. The wool dryer balls function by bouncing around in the dryer, which helps to separate the laundry and create better air flow. They can help to loosen hair from the fabric so it ends up in the lint trap instead of on the clothes. They also help to prevent wrinkles, which I appreciate as someone who very rarely irons. Supposedly, they also shorten drying time, but my dryer operates on a timer instead of a sensor so I can’t verify if that is true or not. I was concerned that six balls might make a lot of noise in the dryer, but I didn’t notice additional noise coming from the laundry room. Granted, our machines are in a room by themselves on the far end of my house. It’s possible they may have may some noise but if they did, it wasn’t enough to disturb me in the main living areas of my home. The wool dryer balls seem to be of good quality. They come out of the dryer looking exactly the same as they did going in. I love that the wool dryer balls are made of 100% organic New Zealand wool with no artificial additives. They are very soft and have no odors. The white balls have the cutest little sheep faces printed on them. The included storage bag is useful to keep them contained. I toss them in the storage bag as I find them while removing my laundry from the dryer. At the time of order, the six-pack of wool dryer balls cost $12.99. I feel like they are a good value because they will eventually pay for themselves since I no longer need to purchase dryer sheets.

    Good dryer balls!
These are good dryer balls – nothing really special about them, but there really doesn’t need to be. I’ve been using dryer balls for a while, and they needed to be replaced so I got these. Good replacement and do what they are supposed to do. I wish there wasn’t printing on the balls, as that makes me feel like the print will come off at some point.

So far, I have not seen the benefits
Maybe it’s just my dryer, but I am not seeing the benefits of these wool dryer balls from Ruovselz. I really wanted these to work.PROS: They are cute. They don’t leave any stains on the clothes. They are chemical free. These do not smell like sheep or make the clothes smell like a barnyard. They are reusable and much more eco-friendly than dryer sheets.CONS: I got these to reduce my use of chemical laden dryer sheets while still preventing static cling, but so far, the static is much worse with these. I was wondering how wool was going to reduce static, and currently, they only seem to increase it. I can’t imagine how these would perform in the super dry winter months, but I doubt I’d ever get my socks off my shirts again. The instructions are only listed on the listing site. My dryer balls didn’t come with any instructions on how many to use with what amount of laundry, so I had to look at the listing pictures to find out. Unfortunately, the instructions on the site use kilograms for the laundry amounts. Sadly, being used to using lbs., I have no idea what 1.5 or 3kg of laundry looks or feels like. While I can look up that 1kg is 2.205lbs, I am having a hard time eyeballing that in laundry amounts. What does 3.3075 or 6.615lbs of laundry look or feel like? I am pretty good at feeling out 1lb of an item, but I am lost past that. Maybe I am using too many or not enough? These seem to trick my dryer sensor into thinking the clothes are dryer than they really are, lessening the dryer’s power and ending the cycle early. I am guessing maybe it’s because the dryer balls heat up faster than the rest of the laundry, and it makes the sensors think the load is done before it is? It took longer to dry rather than taking less time because I had to run the loads 2 to 3 times to actually get the clothes dry. If I run them on a timed setting rather than the wet/dry sensor setting, it doesn’t have this issue, but it also isn’t as energy efficient. Maybe it’s just the way my sensors work? Maybe I am using too many for the laundry?Whatever the reasons, these just aren’t working for me.

    Wool Dryer Balls (6-Pack)
I’ve used wool dryer balls in the past. I find them to be a nice alternative to dryer sheets. Less expensive too. But most of them look raggedy after using them daily for a month or so.I’ve been using these for over 2 months now (almost daily) and they are holding up nicely. They don’t look worn out at all. And I love that they get the puppy hair (leftover after washing) that gets stuck on our clothes/bedding.Great to use for any size load. And they even come in a nice storage bag. Very pleased.

    The average dryer ball
I can’t use products with smells or a lot of chemicals so I’ve gotten quite a few sets of dryer balls over the years and these are pretty much in line with the average dryer ball. They are made in China so undoubtedly not top of the line quality but they work as intended. They don’t have a bad smell like some others I’ve ordered. The price is reasonable for a pack of 6. Appear to be well woven without many loose fibers. While they don’t really have any features that make them stand out above other brands, I also find no flaws with them.
